SamCart 2.0 stays live. Maintenance mode. 8-10 engineers fix bugs + ship small improvements. Marketing holds current ARR with minimum spend. No growth required — just don't lose it.

Track 2: Sam.ai (Build the Future) — Updated March 26, 2026

Justin + 1-2 engineers. All creative energy here.

Dogfooding — Brian + Justin Go All-In
Justin: 1 week vacation + bug fixing. Goal: Brian + Justin using Sam.AI as their OpenClaw by end of April. Focus on stability and core workflow polish.

First Paying Customer + VIP Day
Continue fixing bugs + adding features. First paying customer by end of May. VIP Day end of May or June: demo Sam.AI to VIPs, announce MEGA Launch date, ask them to promote. Brian + Justin decide exact launch date before VIP Day. VIPs need minimum 30-60 days heads up.

Naming Strategy

Don't rename. Evolve.

A new name signals "different company." 1M leads, 100K followers, $7B+ GMV brand equity doesn't transfer. A new name lets competitors say "SamCart is dead."

Internal codename: Sam.ai. External: "The new SamCart" or "SamCart AI."

Same way Shopify rebuilt their entire platform twice and never changed the name.

No — chatbot-first is SIMPLER than dashboard navigation. Risk isn't "too technical," it's "too different." Fix: command center/dashboard view alongside chat. Chat to create, dashboard to manage.

Subscription + credit cap + overages. $49/$99/$199/$499 tiers. Cannot offer unlimited AI at flat rate — the math at OpenClaw-level usage doesn't work.
